Job Description
What's the role?
- Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex GIS data engineering and ingestion projects, from design through execution, with full accountability.
- Transform, integrate, and create geospatial data products using tools such as FME, ArcGIS, QGIS, Python, SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Visio, and related technologies.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with large‑scale and bulk data ingestion and conversion efforts.
- Provide GIS and spatial data consultancy, particularly for bulk source integration initiatives.
- Contribute to departmental and cross‑functional projects to improve efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness.
- Apply a strong engineering and consultancy mindset, focusing on delivering high‑value outcomes rather than only initial requests.
- Design, improve, and re‑engineer GIS data engineering processes, tools, and workflows using strategic and tactical technology recommendations.
