Insight Global is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join the team with one of our largest shipbuilding clients full time. The successful candidate will sit out of their Ottawa office full-time and will be responsible for the following: Required Skills & Experience

Completion of a diploma from a 3-year technical program OR an undergraduate university degree in Engineering 5-8+ years of experience within shipbuilding, marine, or shipbuilding design. Proficiency in ShipConstructor OR strong CAD experience with 3D modeling. Experience interpreting engineering drawings, class rules, and marine standards. Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Strong understanding of shipbuilding systems, marine piping, HVAC routing, and equipment layout principles. Experience working with naval warships, or within the defence or shipbuilding sectors. Knowledge of shipyard manufacturing processes and installation methods. Responsibilities
