We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Shop Assistant to support our team of heavy-duty technicians. This hands-on position is critical to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will assist with mechanical tasks, shop organization, parts management, and safety practices to keep the shop running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle & Equipment Cleaning:
Wash and detail heavy trucks, trailers, and shop equipment, including degreasing, polishing, and preparing units for inspection.
Shop & Yard Duties:
Shunt trucks in and out of the shop safely and promptly
Sweep, pressure wash, and dispose of waste to maintain shop cleanliness
Perform yard checks and assist with outdoor maintenance as needed
Parts & Inventory Support:
Perform parts runs to suppliers and dealerships
Stage parts for technicians
