Purpose of the Position

The Specialist Sourcing – Mechanical Locomotive & Car is accountable for the sourcing, procurement, and management of the Mechanical portfolio in accordance with CPKC’s policies and procedures.

Position Accountabilities

• Integral part of the Mechanical Procurement team managing a portfolio of approximately $500M in spend ensuring the continuity of supply for all materials, assets, and services for the Mechanical department
• Contribute towards the development and implementation of sourcing plans for a range of goods and services
• Negotiate contracts for goods and/or services required by internal customers
• Develop contract agreements, incorporating results of negotiations and best business practices
• Develop Business Cases providing the business reasons for the recommendation
