Staff Component Engineer

Location

Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico

Purpose

Complete projects with suppliers to provide uninterrupted flow of components for assembly operations that comply with instrument requisites, quality, price, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Produce component cost comparisons and analyze alternative manufacturing methods for Cost Improvement Projects (CIPs).
• Determine the requirements of tools and spare parts to maintain the supply of components.
• Complete technical projects with suppliers to improve supplier process, maintenance capability of the supplier’s process, instrument assembly capability, and instrument output performance.
• Provide technical support for the approbation/validation of changes and supplier process improvements.
• Provide technical support for the resolution of component quality issues.
• Coordinate RMI/CAD/BOM activities.
