*Purpose of this position:*Monitors heart rhythm pattern for identified patient care areas using telemetry equipment. Analyzes rhythm intervals, watches for acute rhythm changes, and communicates with nursing regarding patient telemetry status changes. Performs additional unit support duties under the direction of the unit manager/designee
*_RESPONSIBILITIES:_*
* Interprets telemetry rhythms, monitors for changes, and notifies RN of patient telemetry status changes
* Recognizes and troubleshoots equipment malfunction
* Exhibits critical thinking skills and appropriate judgments in decision making and actions related to alarm parameters, antiarrhythmic detection, and rhythm quality
* Maintains knowledge and skill level in all aspects of telemetry equipment and monitoring
