Working closely with the Executive Director, the

Tourism Information Officer

is responsible for:

Answering questions from tourists, visitors, local residents and other tourism industry colleagues, in person, over the phone, via email or online

Making suggestions on downtown shops, restaurants, attractions, and events

Providing literature and information on places of interest downtown

Selling merchandise and downtown dollars

Distributing print advertising material to downtown shops and external visitors

Undertaking general clerical and office duties

Putting together statistics concerning the number and nature of enquiries

Being responsible for overall presentation of the downtown core, maintaining clean streets and handling streetscape complaints

Participating in downtown events and helping market downtown initiatives and promotions
