- Job Details
- Position: MRI Technician
- Responsible for operating GE 1.5 scanners in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Average scans per shift: 7-11
- Common studies include Neuro, MSK, Abdomen, Breast, MRA/MRV, General MRI
- Advanced studies required except Cardiac MRI
- Contrast administration required
- Pediatric imaging required
- Patient screening handled by MRI Technologist
- Patient transport by hospital transport team
- Radiologist coverage both on-site and remote reading
- No call required, but holidays required if during call week
- Sedation cases handled by MRI Tech and Nurse
- No cross-coverage for CT or X-ray if volume is low
- Job Requirements
- Required certifications: ARRT (MR) certification only; ARRT (R) not accepted
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- New York state license not required
