Duties will include a variety of reception and clerical functions such as answering telephone calls, completing requisitions, scheduling appointments, ordering and maintaining inventory of supplies, preparing stretchers, filing, data entry on the computer system, and staff scheduling. Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Medical Office Administration diploma from a recognized college or a minimum of 1‑year recent relevant clerical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Medical terminology certificate.
- Grade 12 diploma.
- Minimum 30 words per minute typing speed.
- Fast and accurate computer data‑entry skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience using patient‑related databases.
- Ability to prioritize workload and function independently in a busy environment.
