Program Overview

NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final-year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real-world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Students work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs at local clinics to develop clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and more.

The practicum ranges from two to eight weeks, allowing students to fit the placement into their schedule and career goals. The program is designed to enhance communication skills with medical teams and clients, preparing participants for a successful career as an RVT.

Eligibility & Stipend

Eligible candidates are those enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year. Students receive a stipend to help with travel expenses, enabling them to focus on learning without financial worries.
